Six Sigma Champions - ONLINE/HYBRID CLASS
The Champions course is designed enable executive management to understand, plan and support a Six Sigma improvement effort in their organization. This program will help managers understand the Six Sigma improvement methodology and the key organizational requirements to ensure success. The basic course flow consists of a Six Sigma overview, assessment of company culture and implementation planning. The sessions are interactive in nature with the output being a completed implementation plan containing the decisions regarding project selection, team structure, training and key metrics.

Available 24/7 from any device that is internet accessible. Each participant will have a unique username/password exclusive to them that will connect with CCSU’s Blackboard system to allow for access to print out a transcript for this course, any future ITBD course, along with any additional CCSU courses if applicable.
Activities are integrated throughout the course and are designed to support the work completed throughout the online training modules (By each participant) to ensure that each learners’ goals are met in conjunction with the continuous improvement skills learned. This, unlike a traditional online course, allows for a personalized experience allowing participation from managers from companies all industries, shapes, and sizes.
About the Instructor- Mike Todhunter:
Mike has been a Central Connecticut State University ITBD Instructor for nearly 15 years supporting Green Belt and Black Belt Training for organizations throughout Connecticut. Additionally, Mike’s career has included university and corporate research, internal consulting, line management and quality management in paper and converting industries. Since the mid 1980’s he worked in the quality field for a major US paper company. His first accomplishment was successfully leading the implementation of a quality process in a research organization. He was also instrumental in the development of a “Managing Process Improvement” workshop – a course focused on full process improvement. This course was unique in that it was developed by a line organization rather than a staff group or consultant. While working as an internal corporate consultant, Mike helped develop and revise several statistical courses and taught numerous statistics and process improvement workshops. He later had responsibilities as the division quality manager for a six plant converting business. In that capacity, he led a culture change to a documented quality system. This included the ISO registration of a lab and ASQ certification of the facility quality managers reporting to Mike.
For the last several years, Mike has been working as a consultant helping clients become successful through their ISO-9001, ISO/TS-16949 and ISO-17025 registration, SPC implementation, and process improvements. He has conducted over 400 workshops in statistics, Six Sigma, meeting management, team management, facilitator skills, process management, and ISO-9001.
